Trip Steward AI helps travelers plan trips, save money, find safe places, and travel with less stress. This page explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have.
What we collect
- Account info: email, display name, sign-in method.
- Trip data: routes, stops, dates, preferences, and trip-related notes you save.
- Photos and receipts you upload, including any embedded GPS / EXIF metadata.
- Optional location used to suggest nearby places; turn it off any time in Settings.
- Usage and diagnostic data to improve reliability.
How we use it
- To run the features you ask for (planning, budgeting, parking, safe places, weather).
- To improve safety signals and AI quality. We do not sell personal data.
- To process payments through our payment provider — we never store full card details.
Your controls
- Export your data: Settings → Privacy & consent → Request export.
- Delete your account: Settings → Privacy & consent → Delete account.
- Stop sharing location: Settings → Privacy & consent.
- Marketing emails: opt in only — change in Settings → Email preferences.
Photos & EXIF
Photos you upload may contain GPS coordinates and time stamps. We use these to attach the photo to the correct trip, route, and weather. You can opt to strip GPS before sharing publicly.
Children
Trip Steward AI is not intended for children under 13. Family sharing is opt-in only; kids are never made public.
